An Introduction to Glassblowing: Half-day Saturday courses.

At Aaronson Noon, a leading studio in Surrey, our half-day course is an exciting and intensive experience aimed at introducing beginners or novices to the wonders of hot glass.

Our dedicated team of skilled makers offer instruction at a ratio of no more than three pupils per tutor – so you can be sure of individual attention and impressive results.

During the course you will be introduced to techniques such as:

• Gathering molten glass from a furnace,
• Shaping and working the glass using a variety of tools,
• Working with glass colours,
• Blowing a glass vessel.

By the end of the lesson, we expect you to have made several pieces, usually including a paperweight, a small sculpture and a blown vessel, which will be yours to keep and treasure!
